Unique Wedding Ceremony Unity's and Tradition's

Adding a beautiful Unity to your Ceremony can make your wedding unique and different - (Some items are available to be purchased with me - Please feel free to ask)

BRAND NEW - Belle Rose Dome Unity
This Unity can be purchased directly with me -The beautiful Bella rose offers a large glass dome with the rose inside and the first petal fallen...You each have 2 of the colored ribbons to tie to the rose stem, and each ribbon color offers meaning

  • Red:Passion, strength, lust, fertility
  • Gold:Energy, wealth, intelligence, longevity
  • Blue:Tranquility, patience, devotion, sincerity, safe journey & Strength
  • Yellow:Charm, confidence, joy and balance

Oathing Stones
​The Oathing Stone is an old Scottish tradition, and in the Scottish tradition an oath given near a stone or water was considered more binding. In some areas of Scotland, the couple would carve their names on a tree or a stone. Some of these bridal stones still exist across Scotland.
As the Bride and Groom say their wedding vows, they hold an Oathing Stone in their hands. It is believed that holding the stone during the reading of the vow’s casts them into the stone.

Ring Warming
A ring warming is when you give your family and friends to hold and imbue your wedding bands with a wish, blessing or prayer for your marriage.

Tree Planting Ceremony
Tree planting ceremony can be used to symbolize the joining together of two individuals or the joining of two families. After the ceremony, the couple plants the tree in at their home or a special location to symbolize the putting down of roots, longevity and strengths in their marriage.

Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich unity
​This is a sweet and nutty fun unity, that offers a couple to make a sandwich and eat at the same time.

Sand Ceremony
"Blending of the Sands" is the pouring of different colored sands together symbolizing joining as one, (Children or family members  can be added if required as a joining of both families)​

Unity Candle Ceremony
The unity candle ceremony uses two taper candles with a large pillar candle, together you lite the centre pillar candle to symbolize joining as one.

Wine Ceremony - Blending of Wines
Wine Ceremony is the pouring of two different colored wines together into one glass and drinking from the mixed wine glass and symbolizing the joining of you both

Wine box & Love Letters Ceremony 
Contains a bottle of wine and each of the couple writes a love letter to the other, and seals the envelope. During the ceremony these letters are placed in to the box with the wine and the box is locked.
On your 5th wedding anniversary, the box can be opened to read the love letter's you wrote to each-other on your Wedding Day.

Glass Unity Ceremony
As a couple you choose 2 colors of glass, during the unity glass ceremony you both mix the two different colors. The glass color that represents each of you into one jar​

Handfasting Celtic ceremony

In centuries gone by, folk-law shows hand fasting was a popular custom in the British Isles of the rural areas of Scotland, Wales and Ireland as these were known as the Celtic lands. The ancient practice of hand fasting gives us the phrases we know today, "Tying the knot" and "The Bonds of Matrimony"

In traditional Celtic hand fasting the ribbons that bind the couple’s hands, are made up of thirteen different colors, each with its own special meaning.
